Walking Backward

Walking Backward

Directions: Inside the house, stand four feet behind your child. Ask him to walk backward toward you. It takes a lot of balance to do this without falling. Keep practicing!

Walking backward involves coordinating both balance and muscle strength. This is also considered a sensory motor experience because your child is using his sense of sight to guide him.
