Directions: Point to the number 4 on the page. Say "four" out loud and have your child repeat it. Have her trace the number 4 with her finger (starting at the green dot and ending at the red dot for each direction). Next have her trace the number 4 using a red crayon. Finally, count the boats together.
Soon, being able to recognize the number 4 will lead your child to recognize a collection of four items without needing to count.
