Directions: Say, "Blocks, let's play with blocks". Place four to five blocks in front of your infant. Let her handle, pick up, put down, and explore the blocks freely. Follow her lead on what about the block is most interesting to her and talk about it ("Oh, I see you found the side."); this will encourage further exploration.
Picking up and exploring blocks helps your baby learn about the block's features such as smoothness, the sides, edges, and corners.
