Directions: Have your child say the name of the shape of the wheels of the train: "circle". Next have her say the name of the shape of the window on the train: "square". Ask her to trace the lines of the square and circles on the train using a purple crayon. Have her color in the three shapes.
When your child can identify a circle and square she will soon be able to sort objects around her based on their shape.
